With this July marking 30 years since George Bush signed the Americans with Disabilities Act into law, civil rights champion Lex Frieden joins All the Best to talk about the movement that led to the ADA becoming a reality. Listen to Lex share his life story, which includes a car accident during his freshman year in college which left him paralyzed and experiencing discrimination by being turned away from being admitted to the university of his choice due to his disability. Later, Lex worked with George H. W. Bush and other inspiring, like-minded advocates to make the ADA the world’s first comprehensive civil rights law for people with disabilities.
